VCU Waffle House temporarily closed?
According to Reddit there was some flooding.
The VCU Waffle House is on 1309 W. Broad Street and it appears that it will out of commission for a bit. According to Reddit there is flooding damage.
In the apartments located above the WH in downtown RVA, someone was irresponsible in the kitchen and set off the fire alarms upstairs. Which set off the sprinkler system. Which caused the Waffle House to flood. Which caused a lot of hard-working people to get laid off until a building/electrical/health inspector clears the restaurant for business, myself included.
Welp. Time to find a new job, rent’s not gonna pay itself. Thanks for understanding, you waffle fiends.
Anybody over in that neck of the woods have any more information? No one was answering the phone when called today.
If you need your Smothered, Covered, Chunked, fix you can always use the handy-dandy restaurant locator.

I was there on Sunday AM and yes, the Waffle House was open and it was flooding. Not that the closing of this WH is a bad thing given the HORRIFIC service they offer. Food is like all the other WH’s across the country. However, the constant turn over is what makes going to this location a crap shoot…..when you can find parking.
How about getting out of your car and walking. This is a very walkable neighborhood.
