John Sarvay, over at Buttermilk & Molasses, has an update on the downtown master plan including images and maps with proposed improvements.

These deserve much more commentary, which I hope to provide later this week, but I wanted to let folks know that the city’s Department of Community Development has updated its Downtown Master Plan page with a series of before-and-after images (with important explanatory commentary) and section-by-section maps incorporating many of the ideas generated in July during the week-long public design process for the plan.

These maps — presumably with plenty of explanation — will be part of the Downtown Master Plan Workshop, scheduled for Thursday, September 27, at 6:30 pm. The workshop will be held at the Renaissance Conference Center at 107 West Broad Street and the public is encouraged to attend. Free parking is available behind the conference center (off of Grace Street).
