Again, from Cliff Davis: A parent of an AP Hill Elementary School student reported today that her child was diagnosed with MRSA, an antibiotic resistant strain of staph, which is a skin disease. This is the first and only report of MRSA in the Petersburg City Public Schools. The child did not attend school today. The Superintendent of the Petersburg City Public Schools has decided to close AP Hill on Wednesday, Oct. 24, for extensive site cleaning, above and beyond the daily and evening disinfecting process that the district already carries out in every Petersburg school.
