UMFS announces improvements

Non-profit provides residential treatment for adolescents, foster care, adoption services, mental health services, Charterhouse School, day treatment services in public schools, and more.

United Methodist Family Services announced yesterday plans to renovate its 33-acre campus at 3900 W. Broad St., just west of Scott’s Addition near Interstate 195.

UMFS President and CEO Greg Peters said the organization’s plans include doubling the size of its 25,000-square-foot school and demolishing and replacing seven of its campus’ 16 buildings” over the next ten or fifteen years.

It may also lease its West Broad Street frontage to developers as a source of funds.
