TRAFFIC ALERT: West Broad Street closed intermittently for utility work

Utility work will take place along West Broad Street between Gayton Road and the Goochland County line.

If your travels take you to the Far West End of the county past Short Pump Town Center, and towards the Goochland County line, you may want to consider Interstate 64 as an alternate. Crews will be closing down West Broad Street intermittently Wednesday through Friday to allow for utility work.

From the Henrico County Police Department:

On Wednesday, March 11, 2015, utility construction will begin along West Broad Street between Gayton Road and the Goochland County line. This construction will require intermittent road closures of West Broad Street between the hours of 2:30 PM and 4:00 PM through March 13, 2015.

Motorists traveling in the area during this time period should anticipate brief traffic delays between the hours of 2:30 PM and 4:00 PM.  Motorist should consider using alternate routes. Henrico County Police Division and the Goochland Sheriff’s Office will be on site supervising the road closures.
