Traffic Alert: River Road closed west of Gaskins due to water main break
VDOT advises motorists to avoid area through Friday.
River Road is closed in Goochland County, just west of the Henrico County line and Gaskins Road Thursday as VDOT crews work to repair a water main break.
The break occurred near Hill Point Road. All lanes are expected to remain closed through Friday.
VDOT advises motorists to detour onto Blair Road north to Patterson Avenue, east to North Gaskins Road, south back to River Road, to avoid the area.
