If your plans for this Saturday afternoon were sipping lemonade and watching Modern Groove Syndicate perform at the Thompson & Grace Balcony Concert Series, you’ll have to find something else to do. Due to potential nasty weather on Saturday, the event is being postponed to sometime in October. Series co-founder Reggie Pace promises Modern Groove and NO BS! Brass will hit the balcony soon, even if it means letting hurricane season pass first.

The ¿Qué Pasa? Festival might assuage the absence of balcony music on Saturday afternoon. Although it costs ($5-$25) slightly more than the balcony concert series does ($0), it should be a good time.

Saturday, September 13, 2008
¿Qué Pasa? Festival
Science Museum of Virginia
12-8pm
$5-$25, all ages
[where: 2500 W Broad St., Richmond, VA 23220]

i’m excited for this to continue, but it’s starting to get rather chilly. it’s a shame it was postponed because it turned out to be a beautiful day!

  2. agreed. although it’s mostly just been getting cold at night, there have been some chilly days here and there. i think we can throw parkas on and bear the cold though.
