Woofstock 2012

Sat Apr 28 9:30 am
Woofstock is Richmond Animal League’s family and pet-friendly festival featuring live music, food, drinks, activities for kids and pets this Saturday, April 28th, 2012, on Monument Avenue between Allen and Lombardy Streets. Kicking off the day’s festivities will be the annual Strut Your Mutt Walk, where packs of pets and their humans will parade around the event grounds to get the party started.

West Avenue Garden Tour

Sun Apr 29 12:00 pm
Plan to come to this free and open to the public
event. There is a children’s flag parade at noon followed by clowns, face painting and other activities to please the children. Refreshments are served in the alleys and many of the gardens in the alleys between Franklin Street, West Avenue and Park Avenue will be open. It is a great way to get ideas on how to garden in small spaces. The gardens are open from 12:30 p.m., until 5:00 p.m. This event is lots of fun and will take place rain or shine.

Art on the Avenue

Mon Apr 30 6:00 pm
The ART 180 Portraits are coming down this Friday and moving to the Byrd Park Vitacourse for May, but before they go there will be one more celebration. This Monday April 30 from 6-8PM, come out to celebrate the young people from ART 180 whose self-portraits asked the Richmond community “What do you stand for?”.

Flight Night @ Secco

Mon Apr 30 1:00 pm
Trying new things is like hitting the refresh button on our existence: it delivers us from complacency, engages our senses and forces us to question our tastes, values and, in turn, our very nature. Yet, more often than not, most of us will opt for the familiar over the unknown. Every Monday.
