Every Sunday at 3300 West Cary Street in the Carytown Cleaners parking lot. The Carytown Farmers Market, a small scale producer only market, was created to give local farmers, producers of goods, and consumers the opportunity to deal directly with each other, rather than through third parties.

From buffalo trail to streetcar suburb, Carytown’s fascinating story is the focus of this tour as you explore this “mile of style”. Includes Cary Court Shopping Center, restored to its 1930’s art deco splendor, and a “behind the scenes” tour of the Byrd Theatre (1928), one of the few active movie palaces in the country. Meet at Premiere Costumes, 3339 W. Cary Street. $10 per person. $5 for History Center Members. Walk-ups welcome. Cash or check, or purchase online.
