Teen Suspect Arrested In Ryan A. Matko Homicide
CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, VA – Police arrested a 17-year-old male today in connection with the August 2007 murder of Ryan A. Matko. Matko’s body was discovered in a wooded area 100 yards from his vehicle on Garden Ridge Trace in the Shadow Creek subdivision at about 7 p.m. on Aug. 23, 2007. He was last seen at his Chester home at about 10 p.m. on Aug. 21, 2007. The 17-year-old is charged with first-degree murder and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. He is being held without bond in the Chesterfield County Juvenile Detention Home pending an upcoming hearing in Chesterfield County Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court.
