Shockoe restaurants are raising money to help bring clean and accessible water to millions of children around the world during World Water Week as part of the Tap Project. Eat well and donate $1 at Europa, the Hard Shell, Cha Cha’s, Havana 59, Julep’s, and many more in the Richmond area. Richmond raised over $15,000 in 2008 for the Tap Project.

Restaurants participating in the Tap Project ask their patrons to donate $1 or more for the tap water they usually enjoy for free. All funds raised go to support UNICEF’s water and sanitation programs bringing clean and accessible water to millions of children around the world.  $1 will provide a child with clean drinking water for 40 days.

So, make a reservation at your favorite participating restaurant during World Water Week and donate $1 or more for the tap water you normally enjoy for free to give children around the world clean drinking water!
