Glen Sturtevant has become the 2nd candidate for the 1st District School Board seat being vacated by Kim Bridges. Trent Park announced his candidacy a few weeks ago.

Sturtevant is an attorney with Hunton & Williams, and has served as Vice-Chair of the Richmond Public Schools Education Foundation. He resides in the Near West End with his wife, Lori, and young son, Ethan.

Glen’s stated goal is “to make Richmond Public Schools a viable and attractive alternative for all children,” and his platform includes hiring quality teachers, fixing the budget, improving school safety, developing a partnership between VCU and Albert Hill Middle School, and supporting school choice.
