The VCU-sponsered workshop with jazz vibraphonist Stefon Harris, scheduled for Monday, has been canceled. The University of Richmond’s revised workshop schedule conflicted with VCU’s time and would have caused a shorter VCU workshop than was planned. Despite this, Harris’ management could not come to an agreement on a reduced rate for the afternoon, and the event was canceled by VCU Jazz soon thereafter.
The Turtle Island String Quartet’s performance with Stefon Harris on Monday night at UR’s Modlin Center will proceed as scheduled.
