State Police bust meth lab in motel near Regency Square

Authorities call this case “atypical” of the Richmond area.

From CBS6:

A meth lab was discovered inside a Henrico motel late Wednesday night, according to Virginia State Police. A state police Hazmat team was called to the Regency Inn Richmond in Henrico’s West End to help clean chemicals from the motel and collect evidence. Investigators in Hazmat suits were seen removing chemicals from a motel room Thursday morning.

State Police found the meth in a bathtub while serving a warrant to 23-year-old Spencer Jackson, and call the situation “atypical” of the Richmond area. Police also say they’re ready to respond should more of these cases happen to pop up.
