Richmond Animal Care & Control is closed for adoption today (Thrusday), but prepping for their 3-day Valentine event. Friday through Sunday they’re waiving the adoption fee for all pets that have been with them for 3 months or longer! Pets ages 9 years and older also may be adopted for no fee and half-price adoption for all other pets. City of Richmond residents are required to purchase an annual $10 license for each pet. Join RAC&C from 1 PM to & PM Friday, and Saturday and Sunday 12 PM to 4 PM. All adopters must complete an adoption application. 1600 Chamberlayne Avenue.

Pets available for adoption may be seen online. The shelter adoption phone number is (804) 646-5575. Donations of blankets, towels, pet beds, Kuranda dog beds, kitten food, baby food, pet carriers, cages, and pet treats for cats and dogs are needed. Donations may be dropped off at RAC&C, 1600 Chamberlayne Ave.
