Senior shooting guard Jamal Shuler has been named Colonial Athletic Association Co-Player of the Week, along with UNC Wilmington’s T.J. Carter, the conference announced Monday.
On Sunday at the BB&T Classic, VCU defeated Maryland by a score of 85 to 76. In pacing the VCU offense in what was the Rams’ first-ever match-up with the Terrapins, Shuler scored a career-high 30 points. His stats for the game also included four steals and grabbed five rebounds.
The Rams return to action on Wed., Dec. 5 when they begin their CAA-title defense against Wm. & Mary at 7:30 p.m. at the Alltel Pavilion at the Siegel Center.
