Shamrock The Block festival organizers seeking volunteers

Volunteers are needed to help pour beer, and will be rewarded with two complimentary beer tickets of their own to enjoy.

Shamrock The Block, the former Shockoe Bottom festival celebrating St. Patrick’s Day, made its move to the Boulevard last year, attracting thousands to the Scott’s Addition area.

The event is back again this year in the same location, and organizers are looking for volunteers to help pour beer and ensure Shamrock goes off without a hitch again in 2015.

Shamrock The Block takes place on the Boulevard between West Broad Street and Leigh Streets on Saturday, March 14th. There are two volunteer shifts available; 10:30 AM – 2:00 PM and 1:30 – 5:00 PM.

Volunteers will receive two complimentary beverage tickets each, as well as a limited edition festival t-shirt.

For those new to the art of pouring the perfect beer, a training session will be held Thursday evening, March 12th at a yet-to-be-determined location nearby. One complimentary beer will be provided to each attendee.

Festival proceeds will benefit the Scott’s Addition Boulevard Association.

You can sign up to volunteer here.
