School investigates after offensive parody song played at Glen Allen HS football game

A student who allegedly added the song to a pre-game warmup playlist will face disciplinary action.

A parody of the “DuckTales” theme song with repeated racial slurs and hate wording was played during warmups Friday before a football game between Glen Allen and John Marshall high schools.

Henrico County Public Schools officials identified a student believed to be responsible and are working to take disciplinary actions, said School Board Chairman John W. Montgomery Jr. Meantime, Glen Allen’s principal has apologized to her counterpart at John Marshall.
