From the Old Towne Merchants Group: Shopping and dining in Old Towne just got a little more interesting, thanks to an innovative effort sponsored by the Old Towne Merchants Group. The first-ever Old Towne Scavenger Hunt will run from May 9th to May 15, 2008 and will give participants a chance to become more familiar with the city, as well as win cash and prizes.
Contestants will receive a clue bag with various hints pertinent to Old Towne Petersburg. They will then have six days to search Old Towne for the answers and turn in their responses to the Visitor’s Center at 425 Cockade Alley or to Signature Style Polish Pottery Shop at 13 West Old Street.
Each contestant will receive two chances to win door prizes provided by participating merchants, and all contestants who answer every clue correctly will be entered into a drawing for $50 in cash.
