Samuels, Gray keep seats; Agelasto beats Jewell

According to the RTD: “Charles R. Samuels has narrowly won a second term on Richmond’s City Council, turning back a strong challenge by Charlie Diradour. With only the absentee ballots left to count, Samuels had 52.2 percent of the vote and Diradour 47.8. That represented a lead of 431 votes.”

With 6 of 7 precincts reporting, Kim Gray is leading her 2 challengers with a commanding 69% of the vote in the 2nd District School Board race.

The RTD is also reporting that Parker Agelasto has defeated the incumbent Marty Jewell and challenger Lee Shewmake in the 5th District City Council race.

With 6 of 8 precincts in the 5th District reporting, Mamie Taylor has 62% of the vote in the School Board race (over incumbent Maurice Henderson).
