We exist to promote awareness and raise funds for local businesses and organizations in and around cities across the world, starting with the Greater Richmond community.

What does your start-up do?

Our slogan is “Everything’s better. Linked together.” We exist to promote awareness and raise funds for local businesses and organizations in and around cities across the world, starting with the Greater Richmond community.

Our company currently provides free promotional advertising and fundraising to over 170 businesses and 15 non-profit organizations via our product/service platform. Our flagship product is the RVA Card. RVA Cardholders enjoy discounts and membership rewards by showing their card at purchase. RVA Card partner businesses and non-profits receive enhanced B2B and B2C integration.

How did you venture start?

RVA Card is a grassroots community initiative. We are a team of four, three of us are RVA born and raised. Our team synergy began when our founder Danny Moss and designer Cesley Musngi teamed up in the VCU Da Vinci program. After some market research/testing and brand development, we partnered up to form RVA Card, LLP with Co-founders Patrick Holmes and Kevin Smith.

How will you use the $10,000 prize?

It would be a great honor and a game changer to win the competition. Our immediate efforts are being focused on user adoption and network recruitment. We are currently developing an application and a more optimized and interactive mobile website, as well as new POS ( point of sale ) and other promotional marketing material. Our network and opportunities are growing rapidly, so we plan to bring on brand directors/ambassadors/representatives to help build our model and expand our market presence. We would allocate prize money to those things and to implement our plans for new charitable campaigns and festival fundraisers. The office, mentoring, and other services would be awesome, too!
