Robbery on King William Thursday night

Few details on incident that occurred around 10:12 PM.

Update #1 — March 14, 2014; 12:26 PM

From the victim we get the following. I’m posting it unedited.

I came home tonight around 10pm. When I got out of my car someone came up behind me and told me to give them my pocketbook. They asked if I had any money and felt my coat pockets they told me not to look at their face and not to turn around. I was parked on prince Edward and I’m pretty sure they ran through my front yard and down king william. Police were here within in 3-5 minutes. Person may have been picked up by someone in a small silver pickup (unless it belongs to a neighbor down caledonia)

It has been pointed out that the plural pronoun “they” is used after the singular “someone”. My assumption and this is confirmed by the limited police statement that it was a single person. That is only an assumption at this time.

There are very few details on the crime except this from the RPD Daily Crime Report:  3rd Precinct ROBBERY – 3/13/14 – 10:12 p.m. – 5200 block of King William Road – A female reported an unknown female robbed her.

Eyewitnesses in the area, including myself, saw numerous RPD officers, patrol cars, and a K-9 unit, canvassing the block and alleys presumably looking for the suspect.
