Richmond Times-Dispatch dines at The Urban Tavern
Marissa Hermanson says the recently-opened gastropub is well worth the drive to the ‘burbs.
Richmond Times-Dispatch food writer Marissa Hermanson recently reviewed The Urban Tavern, the lastest restaurant concept from Home Team Grill owner Garland Taylor.
Hermanson tells city dwellers the gastropub is worth the drive to the neighborhood joint off Ridgefield Parkway in the Gleneagles Shopping Center, noting:
As of late, local chefs have been taking their talents to the ‘burbs, from Southside to western Henrico County. It’s a pleasant reminder that there are little dining destinations like Urban Tavern — with its great beer selection, delightful dishes and friendly staff — that are worth the drive.
Hermanson gave the restaurant three out of four stars.
