Richmond History Makers deadline approaching
Do you know an individual or organization who is making a difference in the community? Nominate them to be a Richmond History Maker before June 30.

Do you know an individual or organization who is making a difference in the community? Nominate them to be a Richmond History Makers honoree. Created ten years ago by the Valentine Richmond History Center, the Richmond History Program recognizes citizens, companies, and organizations that are making significant contributions to the greater Richmond region.
Nominees should be selected based upon distinction in one of the following categories:
Creating Quality Educational Opportunities: Nominee will have enhanced educational opportunities for citizens, improved academic achievement, or ensured a safe, constructive learning environment.
Demonstrating Innovative Solutions: Nominee will have demonstrated innovation and vision in making the Richmond region a better place to live, work, or visit.
Encouraging Regional Collaboration: Nominee will have endeavored to bring together regional entities to creat a new synergy and improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Improving Social Justice: Nominee will have shown a commitment to promoting diversity, access and opportunity for all.
Promoting Stronger Communities: Nominee will have worked to address problems, develop initiatives, or make lasting improvements that result in stronger, more stable communities.
