Richmond Flying Squirrels hosting Fan Fest at The Diamond tonight

It’s your first chance to buy tickets for the 2015 season and check out upgrades to The Diamond.

As the snow slowly starts to melt, hopefully we can finally turn our attention to spring. And what better way to do that than to look forward to baseball?

The Richmond Flying Squirrels are hosting a First Friday Fan Fest and Ticketpalooza tonight at The Diamond. There will be live music, libations, and a chance to check out the upgrades going on at the stadium.

The Richmond Flying Squirrels are excited to announce that fans will have the first opportunity to purchase single-game tickets for the 2015 season during the First Friday Fan Fest and Ticketpalooza event on March 6th from 5:30PM-8:00PM at The Diamond.

The First Friday Fan Fest will officially kickoff the Squirrels season-long Free Shirt Friday and Happy Hour promotion. In homage to the Squirrels 2015 Free Shirt Fridays, the first 100 fans who purchase tickets during the First Friday Fan Fest & Ticketpalooza on March 6th will receive a free T-shirt.

Happy hour drink specials will be available from 5:30 PM-7:30 PM just as they will be all season long during Free Shirt Friday games. Fans can also enjoy live music, concession items and a sneak peak at the new upgrades taking place at The Diamond. The Squirrels will be hosting a total of 11 Free Shirt Friday and Happy Hours throughout the 2015 season with drink specials and a free shirt giveaway to the first 1,000 fans. The shirt designs will be different for each of the Friday night home games to reflect that evening’s themed promotions. Click here for a full rundown of the 2015 promotional schedule .

“We thought there would be no better way to highlight our new Free Shirt Fridays with, what else? Free Shirts,” Said Flying Squirrels VP and COO Todd “Parney” Parnell. “This is an opportunity for fans to get their tickets, see what we have done with the ballpark and catch a glimpse of the season ahead. We are counting down the days until Opening Night April 9th!

Single-Game tickets will only be available for purchase at The Diamond on Friday, March 6th from 5:30PM-8:00PM. Online, phone order along withbox office sales will open to the public the next morning, Saturday March 7th at 9:00AM. A rendering of the First Friday Fan Fest Shirt giveaway can be found here. Again, shirts at First Friday Fan fest will be given to the first 100 fans who purchase tickets at the event. The regular season Free Shirt Friday and Happy Hour promotion will provide a minimum of 1,000 free shirts for each of the dates.
