Central Virginia Waste Management Authority and the City of Richmond will be holding a one-day electronics drop-off at The Diamond on Saturday, November 17, from 12:00 until 4:00 pm. You do not need to be a resident of the City of Richmond to recycle your electronic items at a single-day collection. Payment for fees on select items payable by cash or check to Advanced Technologies.

Most items are accepted at no charge, but fees are charged to recycle televisions, computer monitors and compact fluorescent light bulbs. These items require special handling due to the leaded glass and mercury they contain. Please refer to the payment options listed for each event (items without a fee listed have no charge to recycle):

  • Televisions, plastic – $5 each
  • Televisions, wood – $10 each
  • Computer monitors – $5 each
  • Computers systems (hard drive, CPU)
  • Computer accessories (cables, wires, keyboards, mice, speakers, etc.)
  • Printers, scanners & copiers
  • Telephones & cell phones
  • Fax machines
  • VCRs & camcorders
  • Stereos
  • Microwaves
  • Fluorescent light bulbs (CFLs ) – $0.25 each
