North Richmond News is working with the Richmond Police Department to keep the community informed of crimes in our area. We will report crimes by block numbers, not specific addresses (except for businesses). Note:This list runs from Christmas Eve, and so is long compared to our normal reporting of crimes.

• An employee reported an unknown male robbed a business at 2709 Chamberlayne Avenue at 5:48 p.m. on January 14.
• A male reported he was assaulted by an unknown male who tried to rob him on the 2900 block of North Avenue at 9:10 a.m. on January 12.
• A juvenile male reported he was assaulted and robbed by two unknown males with a gun on the 3900 block of Chamberlayne Avenue at 7:30 p.m. on January 12.
• A male reported he was robbed by an unknown male with a gun on the 2900 block of Brook Road at 1:20 p.m. on January 10.
• A male reported he was shot by unknown suspects on the 800 block of West Lancaster Road at 10:16 p.m. on January 9. The victim’s injury is not life threatening.
• A male reported he was assaulted and robbed by three known suspects with a gun on the 1700 block of Moore Street at 9:16 p.m. on January 5.
• A male reported he was robbed by an unknown male with a gun on the 4800 block of Seminary Avenue at 6:09 p.m. on January 3.
• A male and two females reported an unknown male tried to rob them on the 2900 block of Chamberlayne Avenue at 5:41 p.m. on January 1. An arrest was made.
• A male reported he was assaulted and robbed by an unknown male on the 600 block of West Laburnum Avenue at 8:20 p.m. on December 29. An arrest was made.
• An employee reported an unknown male robbed a business at 2706 Chamberlayne Avenue at 7:00 p.m. on December 26.
• A male reported an unknown male tried to rob him on the 400 block of North Avenue at 12:15 p.m. on December 26. An arrest was made.
• A male reported he was assaulted by an unknown male on December 24 at 11:25 a.m. on the 1400 block of East Brookland Park Boulevard.
