At Beggar’s Bones (at 317 N. Robinson St.) we’re kicking off an exciting project that combines our love of cheap used books and our dedication to local rescue.

How’s it work?

We accept gently-used books in trade for store credit. You can then use that credit to purchase anything at the store, or donate that credit as cash to local pet rescues. For a list of participating organizations check out our website and go to our “Rescue” section.

We then resell the books for SUPER CHEAP! Most are $2-3 for good quality hardbacks. Good books, too — on training, types of breeds, natural care, etc. There’s no reason to pay $15-$24 for a book at a bookstore when you can get the same thing for less than $5!

Don’t have books to donate? Buy one. The only way we can keep up this donation schedule is if the books keep moving — the more empty spaces on the shelf, the more books we can buy, the more money to rescue!

For more information on how to trade your books in just drop us a line at (804) 254-2663, or email: beggars.bones@gmail.com.
