VCU and George Mason will play nationally televised games on ESPN2 as part of the O’Reilly ESPNU BracketBusters [promotion] on Sat., Feb. 23. The Rams’ contest at Akron (17-6) will air at 11 a.m., followed by the Patriots at Ohio University (16-7) at 1 p.m.
This is the third year in a row that two CAA teams have been featured on ESPN2 as part of BracketBusters.
VCU is 18-5 overall and sits atop the CAA standings with an 11-2 mark. The Rams have won 10 of their last 11 contests and are 15-2 since Dec. 1. George Mason is 17-7 overall and is tied for second in the CAA at 9-4. The Patriots have captured seven of their last nine contests. Akron and Ohio are tied for second in the East Division of the Mid-American Conference.
