Police seek information on five year old cold case in Twin Hickory

The suspect responsible for a Far West End shooting was never brought to justice.

Five years ago, on March 11th, 2010, Terrance Nero was shot through the window of his home in the Park Meadows subdivision of Twin Hickory in the Far West End.

Nero, then 53, suffered a single gunshot wound to the face, fired by a rifle.

Henrico Police spokesman Lieutenant Christopher Eley says that after careful evaluation of the evidence and witness statements, detectives working this case believe the suspect or suspects were hiding in the victim’s backyard before the incident occurred.

K9 units and dive teams searched the surrounding neighborhood and a nearby pond for evidence and the weapon used in the crime, to no avail. The person or persons responsible for the crime were never brought to justice.

Anyone with information regarding this offense is asked to contact Henrico Police at 804.501.5000 or Crime Stoppers at 804.780.1000. You can also text Crime Stoppers at 274637, using the key word “iTip” followed by your tip. Both Crime Stoppers methods are anonymous.
