Police Investigate Attempted Abduction Of Teen

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, VA – Chesterfield County police are investigating an attempted abduction of a 17-year-old girl that occurred at about 6 a.m. today. The teen was not physically injured. Police said the teen was walking to a bus stop when she was approached by a man who displayed a gun and tried to force her into a wooded area in the 7700 block of Belasco Drive in the Roxbury Square apartment complex. The teen was able to escape and immediately contacted 911. The suspect is described as a Hispanic male in his mid-20s, 5 feet 3 inches tall. He wore a black hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans. Police continue to follow leads, and police presence has been increased in this area.
