It has been an exciting year as the team has battled and prevailed over each of its tenacious rivals in the region, from Prince George County to Highland Springs. As noted in published reports, the team dedicated its first game in the Central District Tournament last Tuesday to Head Coach Bill Lawson III, who was not present due to illness. They played hard and they won, repeating their success on Wednesday.
Keep an eye on these outstanding student athletes as they head for the championship!
In addition, the PHS Girls Basketball team had a great regular season, according to Coach Robert Claiborne, taking third place in the district and qualifying for the regionals, which start Monday, Feb 23.
