The Petersburg Area Art League announces its upcoming June 2008 exhibit. The Main Gallery at PAAL presents ANCIENT NOTATIONS, the work of artist-photographer CHARLOTTE GREGORY. Charlotte describes her medium as Archival Digital Prints. ANCIENT NOTATIONS will feature digital fine art prints from traditional photography processes. In her work Charlotte explores the process of change in an object, a way of life, and the differences between fact and perception and the potential for metaphor.
Ms. Gregory is originally from Washington state and spent many years in Virginia as part of a military family. She currently resides in Washington State. She has been the recipient of grants, many awards, and has shown her work from coast to coast.
ANCIENT NOTATIONS opens with a reception on Friday, June 13th, 6 to 10 PM.
The reception is free and open to the public. This event coincides with the popular Second Friday for the Arts Celebration in Old Towne Petersburg.
ANCIENT NOTATIONS will be on display during regular PAAL hours through Sunday, July 6th.
