A 42-year-old female victim was struck by a motorist at the intersection of West Broad Street and Gaskins Road in the West End just before 9:00 PM last night, according to Henrico Police.

The woman was left with life-threatening injuries after, as a witness told WTVR-TV, she was struck with such force that she “flew through the air,” was transported to VCU Medical Canter.

The driver who struck the woman remained at the scene and appeared “visibly shaken,” according to WWBT-TV.

We’ll post more information on this situation as the story develops.
