The Main Gallery at PAAL presents the Appomattox Regional Governor’s School Visual Arts “Spring Gala”.  Grades 9 through 12 will be represented with their photography, graphic design, painting, drawing and sculpture.  The exhibit highlights the best work done throughout the school year. 

ARGS is now seven years old, and the school draws students from 14 different school districts.  Students wishing to enroll in the increasingly competitive Art Dept. at ARGS must have their portfolio approved.  ARGS reports that 69 students have applied for 13 slots (visual arts) for the freshman class entering fall 2008.

The “SPRING GALA” will open with a reception on Friday, May 9th, from 6 to 10pm.  It is free and open to the public.  The exhibit will remain on display through Sunday, June 8th, during regular PAAL hours.
