Owners of Toast, Estilo expanding westward
Josh and Jessica Bufford are taking over the former Eurasia space on Gaskins Road for a new restaurant, Hutch.
Richmond.com reports that Josh and Jessica Bufford, owners of Toast and Estilo in the Village Shopping Center, are expanding their restaurant footprint.
The couple is taking over the former Eurasia spot at 1308 Gaskins Road in the Gayton Crossing Shopping Center. The new restaurant, to be named Hutch, will serve a menu heavily influenced by that of sister restaurant Toast–upscale New American fare with a southern twist.
Richmond.com reports Toast chef Ian Kinker will come on as executive chef and co-owner of Hatch, while retaining his current role at the existing restaurant.
The news comes just shortly after the Buffords announced the closure of Dash Kitchen & Carry on the VCU campus, which was part of a strategic by the couple due to another announcement.
