North Richmond set to host both marathon and half-marathon races this Saturday

The new McDonald’s Half Marathon will join the regular Richmond Marathon this Saturday, November 15, and will mostly follow a course through North Richmond. As a result, a number of roads will be closed from 7:00 until 10:00am on race day:

North Boulevard northbound from Broad St. to Hermitage Rd.

Hermitage Road northbound from Boulevard to Pope Ave.

Brookland Parkway eastbound from Hermitage Rd. to Lamont St.

Lamont Street from Brookland Pkwy to Whitby Rd.

Whitby Road from Lamont St. to Rennie Ave.

Rennie Avenue from Whitby Rd. to Loxley Rd.

Loxley Road from Rennie Ave. to Westwood Ave.

Westwood Avenue from Loxley Rd. to Hermitage Rd.

Gloucester Road from Westwood Ave. to Wilmington Ave.

Confederate Avenue from Chatham Rd. to Lamont St.

Wilmington Avenue from Chatham Rd. to Lamont St.

In addition, the SunTrust Richmond Marathon course will cause traffic delays on the Boulevard, Hermitage Road, Pope Avenue, Crestwood Road, Faquier Avenue and Brook Road. For complete maps or more details, visit the Richmond Marathon website.
