Museum District pup representing RVA in Puppy Bowl this Sunday

Russell Wilson isn’t the only dog RVA has in the fight on Sunday.

All eyes may be on the Patriots and Seahawks as they play in the Super Bowl this Sunday, but millions of others will be on something that has absolutely nothing to do with football–the Puppy Bowl.

This year, Richmond has two dogs in the fight–RVA native and Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson in the big game, and Pepper, a BoShih, Boston Terrier and Shih Tzu mix from the Museum District, in the Puppy Bowl.

Owner Hannah Abbott made the trip to New York to let Pepper audition for the annual Animal Planet halftime show watched by millions across the country, and the then 16-week-old pup made the cut.

Read more about Pepper’s journey from WRIC TV-8.
