Metzger Bar & Butchery is open!

They announced the good news yesterday.

The long wait is finally over!

Metzger Bar & Butchery, a new German-themed restaurant and butchers in the Union Hill Neighborhood, just announced yesterday on Facebook that they will open their doors today.

From their Facebook:

Thanks for the patience while we figured things out, but the wait is over! Metzger will be open Wednesday at 5pm for dinner service!

Back in February, chef and co-owner Brittanny Anderson discussed the planned menu for Metzger’s with East End Daily:

We are focusing on doing a few traditional German staples really well, like schnitzel, Weisswurst, pretzels, and pumpernickel. We also will be using lots of traditional German ingredients in a bit more modern way, taking things like quark, or krauts and doing non-traditional applications…the flavors should be really familiar and comforting to most everybody in the River City!

Sounds delicious! You can call to make reservations here.
