Man Arrested For Burglary And Arson At County Park
CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, VA – Police have arrested a man in connection with a burglary and arson to a maintenance facility at the Harry G. Daniel Park on Whitepine Road. The suspect was also charged with stealing a Chesterfield County Parks and Recreation service truck from that facility and later setting it on fire. Officers on routine patrol early Saturday morning discovered the break-in and fire at the park facility. The truck was discovered after a call from CSX Railroad officials who saw the vehicle on fire, near some railroad tracks on Dalebrook Drive. Michael E. Sosa, 26, of the 8500 block of Chester Forest Lane, was arrested at his home Saturday evening and placed in the Chesterfield County Jail without bond. He is scheduled to appear in court on March 19, 2009.
