Here’s a totally updated run-down: The Grand Illumination will take place at 6:45pm in front of the Visitors Center in Old Towne Petersburg on Friday, December 5, 2008. The VSU Marching Trojans will lead Santa Claus, who will be arriving in a horse-drawn carriage at 6:55pm, to the Union Train Station where the music and festivities will continue. Come join us for cider and cookies with Santa! Musical performances will feature the Governor’s School Jazz Band and Strings Improv-N-Me. There will be holiday shopping, dining, music and carriage rides throughout Old Towne during the evening. Stroll the streets of Old Towne and enjoy this annual celebration!
