The Crooning Crabcakes (the boys who were banned from the Wonderettes prom) are rehearsing for the Dream of a Lifetime Talent Search, hosted by Big Whopper Radio. Their dream of making it to the big-time is complicated by romantic entanglements with their coach, Lois, and their 60’s doo-wop songs say it all: “Fools Fall in Love”, “Earth Angel”, Runaround Sue”, “Unchained Melody”, “the Flory of Love”, and 17 more hits.
