How many lights are up at Lewis Ginter? About 500,000.

How long has it taken to arrange them? Staff members began putting them up on Labor Day.

How much do the lights add to the electric bill? About 20 percent.

What color are they? Many different colors.

How many visitors are expected? About 50,000.

Any particular difficulties this year? The leaves have been so late in falling that it has been harder to string the trees.

What’s this year’s theme? “Natural Splendors.”

Any special nights? “Merry Mondays” feature storytelling for kids and a bonfire.

When can I see the lights? Daily from 5 to 10 p.m. through Jan. 7. The festival is closed Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.

What is the cost? Members are $5; adults are $10; those 55 and older are $9; children ages 3 to 12 are $6; and children younger than 3 are free.
