Let’s put on a show

The siren call of show business with 50% less business.

If you’ve ever wanted to recreate the scene where a bunch of plucky kids get together and put on a show to save grandma’s farm now is your chance.

CAT THEATRE TO HOLD OPEN STAGE

Do you have a project but no place to perform it? Well, what a coincidence! CAT has a stage, and a day when there is nothing on it! On the evening of June 9, 2016, CAT will turn over its stage to YOU!

It could be a staged reading, a night of stand up, a one-person show, a cabaret, an improvised evening, a murder mystery — that’s up to you.
We will be accepting applications until April 15. Please send a resume and a detailed description of your project to cat@cattheatre.com and be sure to include your contact information.

What CAT will provide:

  • Our stage (which may either be empty or have a partial set on it) and seating
  • Use of our dressing room (which may or may not be completely empty)
  • Use of the current light & sound set-up
  • Use of our props, costumes, and set storage
  • Marketing assistance
  • Limited rehearsal space
  • Ushers and house manager
  • A Board liaison

What YOU will provide:

  • Everything else you need, including
*Any manpower required to take advantage of our storage and returning everything the way you found it to the place where you found it
*Any technical crew, designers, board operators (we will train)
*Rehearsal space beyond what can be offered
    *Your passion for your project

OPEN STAGE will be open to the public. Ticket prices, if any, will be determined after the project is chosen and will be split evenly between CAT and you.
