The foundation for the new addition at the Virginia Musuem of Fine Arts has been poured. The stage is set for the grand re-opening of the revamped museum for fall of 2009.

There’s still a lot of work to do. Once the expansion work is done, gallery space will increase by 50%, and the structure will be nearly as beautiful as the artwork housed inside.

The Robins Sculpture Garden will beautify the outside and cover part of the parking deck, and will be host to outdoor performances.
