Kickers Prediction Game of Awesome Round 4

Prior to every home game a panel of so called experts will predict the outcome of the Richmond Kickers game. Each expert receives 1 point for each correct prediction. At the end of the season the winner gets a trophy and pack of gum.

Kickers play this Friday, May 9 at 7:00 PM . Kickers are 2-1-3 and Arizona United sit at 2-1-1 and haven’t played on the road this year. The Kickers are presenting the Kickers Fiesta Latina, with live Latin music from Timbason La Original at 6:00 p.m. and tickets to the VIP Fiesta Tent, including Modelo beer and all-you-can-eat tacos are on sale now for $20 at Richmond Kickers.com.

Match Preview is here. Our panel overall gives the nod to the Kickers and once again one so called expert is raining on the Kicker parade.

BREAKING NEWS: Due to demand Wild Wolf Kick it Hunny will not be available until later in May at City Stadium. Apparently we drank it all. It’s still available in select bars including Gus’ Bar and Grill, Post Bellum, and Station 2 might have a keg or two around.

AUSC There are two types of supporters, optimists and pessimists. Optimists see the past two games as gritty come from behind moral victories which will be improved upon.  Pessimists see the past two games as the SS Kickertanic as slamming into an iceberg and currently Leigh Cowlishaw is in the bowels of the ship waist deep in water screaming at the crew but they can’t understand a word due to his accent. 2

Red Army

Richmond-Kickers-Logo Maybe I’m a homer, but I’m still sticking with the Kickers despite their troubles so far.  Arizona hasn’t been on the road yet and is going to get a rough welcome to the east coast. 3-1 Kickers to start a week of winning 1

Richmond Kickers

Richmond-Kickers-Logo Arizona? Who are they? Should I know who they are? I heard there’s some Fiesta thing Friday so since the Kickers are throwing a party, Kickers win. Plus, I’m not actually a fan of hot and Arizona is hot. 1

Total Soccer Show

Richmond-Kickers-Logo Kickers win. This will be Arizona’s first ever away game, so I predict the fierce flag-waving and chanting of the River City Red Army will be more than these homesick newbies can handle. And if the flags don’t get ’em then Collin Martin and George Davis IV will. 1

RVA News Soccer Guru (Richard Hayes): All of Richard’s soccer knowledge comes from playing FIFA on the original Playstation and standing in bars, drinking, and yelling at the television. He also helps run RVA DCU and American Outlaws Richmond Chapter, which mainly involves drinking and yelling at televisions.

Red Army (Matt Myers): Matt was sent off by Leigh Cowlishaw in a summer camp scrimmage as a pre-teen but has not held that against the team. He’s coming to grips with being a relatively old man now after seeing the youngsters in the Red Army and on the Kickers roster. He’s also attended way more matches than he should admit to, especially for having lived in Richmond a total of one out of the last 13 years.

Richmond Kickers (Kickeroo): The Kicker from down under. He doesn’t really like anyone who isn’t a fan of the Kickers. A daredevil who will pretty much try anything and everything but would rather not talk (on the advice from lawyers) about the incident with the scooter and the Flaming Hoop of Death. He’s also sensitive marsupial who enjoys long walks on a dew covered soccer field and watching the sun set behind the goal post. He also shares something with the new Kickers beer, Kick it Hunny: Hops.

Total Soccer Show (Daryl Grove): Daryl is English so every thing he says about footsoccerball naturally carries more weight because he says it a British accent. He is also part of the excellent local radio show and podcast Total Soccer Show that keeps track of all soccer related things in an intelligent and fun way. If you’re not listening to the Total Soccer Show you need to change that post haste.

When Richard isn’t rounding up neighborhood news, he’s likely watching soccer or chasing down the latest and greatest craft beer.
