Jackson Ward car break-ins
Police are asking for information related to recent vehicle break-ins.
In the past week, several car break-ins have occurred in the neighborhood on Clay Street. Residents have reported smashed car windows and missing items.
Richmond Police are currently investigating and ask that if you have any information related to these crimes to call Crime Stoppers at 804.780.1000.
Here are some general tips to help prevent a break-in from happening to your vehicle:
- Close all car windows
- Lock you car
- Remove all valuables from your car, including GPS units, iPods, electronics, phone chargers, bags, and cds
If you see a car that has been broken into, dial 911.
