Henrico Police investigating New Year’s Eve party shooting

Two adult males were shot in the entrance of the Magnuson Hotel on West Broad Street.

Henrico Police are investigating a shooting that occurred at a New Year’s Eve party at the Magnuson Hotel.

On Thursday, January 1st at 2:00 AM, Henrico Police responded to the hotel in the 6500 block of West Broad Street for a shooting. Authorities say two adult men, who were attending the private party, were shot while standing in the main entrance of the hotel.

Both suffered non-life threatening injuries and were transported to VCU Medical Center. Police say prior to the shooting, a physical altercation took place inside the party between multiple partygoers.

Henrico County Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and locating those responsible for this crime. Anyone with information is asked to contact Henrico Police at 804.501.5000 or Crime Stoppers at 804.780.1000.
