Henrico Police arrest suspect in rash of recent robberies

Three commercial robberies, all with similar characteristics, led police to Travis Wayne Vance, 29.

Beginning on December 5, 2015, Henrico Police responded to three commercial robberies along the West Broad Street corridor.  In each incident, the victims provided a similar suspect description and modus operandi.  The investigation identified Travis Wayne Vance (29) of Henrico as being the individual who committed the offenses.  On December 10, 2015, Vance was taken into custody and charged with three counts of robbery, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by convicted felon, and wearing a mask in public.

Vance was also arrested for eight counts of forgery, four counts of obtaining money by false pretenses, two counts of possession of stolen property, and one count of grand larceny.  These charges were placed after Vance was implicated in a series of larcenies which occurred between October 1, 2015, and November 23, 2015.  In each incident, Vance took property and checks from the victims.
