Witnesses on scene say the sedan crashed through the front windows of the Chipotle, became wedged between two doors, and then backed out, causing further damage to the restaurant’s exterior.

“The vehicle immediately fled the scene, however a nearby witness followed the vehicle and was able to alert HCPD Officers,” Henrico Police Tactical/Strategic Intelligence Sergeant C. L. Rooney confirmed to RVANews via email.

After stopping the vehicle and conducting an investigation, Dawn Margaret Carter, 48, was arrested and charged with DUI and felony hit and run.
